Optional - maybe I can use hang gliding for a short distance. Later if I find a guide and would have enough strength to walk, I will hike towards Angelo Falls (the highest waterfall in the world), and then return north to civilization (around Ciudad Bolivar) - distance 860 km, approximately pace 20-25 km per day, duration five weeks.

Starting in Santa Elena de Uairen I’ll try my luck to catch the fly with on hang-gliding. It just needs to be in west direction. But I’m not sure if I can organize it. Any hang-gliding or paragliding contacts are welcome

Then I have another problem - how to walk to the world highest waterfall, Salto Angel (Angel Falls). If I find a way, some logistic issues will remain - how, where and when to send my bike and accessories?

Unfortunately, I don’t see it too colourful. Due to the fact that I will be at the end of the trip, and knowing myself, I’ll be tired of physical fatigue and solving problems. I would give up much easier and become discouraged at this point. Different story if this was the beginning of the adventure. It doesn’t mean that I won’t try.

The problem is not easy. I would have to find trustable source of information that I can cross this savannah from Santa Elena to Ciudad Bolivar. Can I find someone there who will guide me a long way, on the terrain with cliffs, swamps and rivers. Would I need a boat? I’m not paying the same way as Western tourists. I can’t get any maps of the area. I never heard that someone made it on foot. This area is officially protected by park, is it illegal to enter? Well, I need luck. I’ll be searching and asking, you never know. And if I won’t be successful, I just skip this attraction and I will continue on a bicycle.
