Cycling to Valparaiso via Mendoza - distance 1775 km, approximately pace 60-100 km per day, duration three weeks.
I’m planning to buy in Santiago a bike and its accessories (like bike bags), because I think that this will be the cheapest option (info regarding prices, locations and bicycle quality are welcome).
I’m planning to transport it from Santiago to Cochamo where I will finish my trekking (I'm looking for a contact to deposit cycling stuff), I will collect my bike gear and head to the north.
At the beginning I will ride small mountain roads around Osorno volcano, and will cross the border to Argentina. After arriving to San Martin de los Andes I will be heading to Mendoza by the shortest route.
From Mendoza I will ride uphill into the Andes to Puente del Inca village, then ride down to the coast, straight to Valparaiso (I'm looking for a contact).
